Only 1.5 hours of sleep last night.

I was on the road at 6:30. The early morning sky was an orgy of green and blue, and the bare Michigan ash trees reached up with their nimble fingers in a vain attempt at pulling the clouds down. Those trees have yet to understand that touching the sky first requires that you leave the ground. A burning red sun rose over Flint, Michigan. I read somewhere that red sunrises are caused by polution in the air. I imagine a state of industry such as Michigan sees many red sunrises.

Late to the airport because of traffic and confusion, and I missed my flight. No worries, hopped on another that leaves only two hours from now. Manhattan lies in waiting.
