Chicken Enchiladas

Something strange has happened. Today, I went to El Rancho and picked up some lunch, AND I WASN'T DRUNK. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a staunch opposer of El Rancho, as it embodies atrocity that is Mexican food in the Midwest. But I've gotten ahead of myself. Really, this strange thing happened because of another strange thing that has happened: I got a job.

At work today, one of the other trainees was talking about how she and her husband are opening a taqueria in the Nifong area. This begun a discussion among the three other trainees (I'm the only one not born in Mexico). I imagine this hour long discussion of traditional (read: subpar) Mexican food planted a seed in my head. I came home and sat on my couch for an hour, trying to resist, but by 3pm it was clear that I absolutely needed some shitty mexican food. And you know what? It was alright. I think I might make a habbit out of mid-day trips to El Rancho. Also, drunk trips to El Rancho can now come without protest, because I learned in Chicago that nothing makes a drunk stomach happier than a crappy mexican cafe at 3am.

Ummmm.....El Rancho rules. Drunk. Sober. Awake. Asleep. It's always delicious.
