So, anyone who know's me know's that I'm sort of in love with Colin Meloy, of Decemberists fame. Anyone who has ever been to a Decemberists show with me (I've been to 7) has seen this for themselves, as I turn into a school girl, faithfully reciting lyrics and gazing longingly at the stage.

Colin's been touring solo, to promote the latest edition of the approaching-serial Coling Meloy Sings... EP series. The first one, Colin Meloy Sings Morrisey, came out last year, and now it has a sister in Colin Meloy Sings Shirley Collins. NPR recorded a recent show of his (which, in my opinion, kicks the shit out of the recently released/leaked live set by Colin's indie doppelganger Ben Gibbard) and you can download it from this blog, here:

Look out for the song "Tristan and Isolde" which is not a cover of that shitty movie track that's been making the rounds on television, but rather a track by Colin's old band Tarkio. It's gorgeous.
