Well, after nearly two years A View From A Distance is officially closed. If you feel nostialgic, the archives from A View From A Distance can be read to the left. It's been fun. There is, however, something new. posted by Chris Hires at 3:40 PM Saturday, October 04, 2003
I've decided not to go to the Lawrence show after all, because I need my $20 to by some food this week, and also i dont feel like tailgating at the cheifs game on sunday. Soooooooooooooooooo, the blood brothers were awesome as always last night. I was nearly smothered in the crowd, and it was great fun. After the first song, my keys got caught on another guy's keys, and we were siamese twins for like a whole song. It was really weird. Cursive was good, the guy was really drunk (as always) and came out and introduced them as "The Cursives" and then briefly talked about how they were from omaha, and how its not as far from missouri as you might think. I got hit on twice. I also got hugged by Melissa's friend who is a Suicide Girl. It was very surreal just to meet one, but to be hugged by one made it something to write home about. Very nice girl though. Melissa's mom made us breakfast this morning, it was awesome. posted by Chris Hires at 1:54 PM Friday, October 03, 2003
"I do not willfully invite any dillusions at this point in my life. I am willing to stay in the dark." Guess what tonight is? Blood Brothers w/ Cursive in St. Louis Guess what tomorrow night is? Blood Brothers w/ Cursive in Lawrence, KS. Good weekend coming up. I gotta say that You Gotta See This on Fox Sports is a great great show. Anything that is just a half hour block of people getting hurt and cars exploding is awesome. posted by Chris Hires at 1:46 PM Wednesday, October 01, 2003
Last night, on the way home from the photo lab, at exactly 12:00 am, a black cat crossed my path, however, behind me. That is to say, it walked across the path that I had just walked. I wasn't sure what that meant. Still, it was 38 degrees, and to be the only one in sight, i thought it was bizarre, and I felt lucky to have experienced it. posted by Chris Hires at 7:49 AM Sunday, September 28, 2003
Ok, so everyone make sure to remind me never to go home again. It was fun for the first 6 hours, but then I had to say bye to friends and hello to overly clingy, bickering family. That was no good. It made me remember why I left in the first place. It was nice to drive my car, and even nicer that it was like 86 degrees. It's 46 here right now. When I walked out of the Kansas City airport, I thought that I had accidentally boarded a plane to the south pole. posted by Chris Hires at 10:54 PM Wednesday, September 24, 2003
Every time I watch The Rules of Attraction, I like it more and more. I think I am going to fail my midterms tomorrow and friday. Those are all the announcements for today. Sleep tight kids. posted by Chris Hires at 11:57 PM Monday, September 22, 2003
MY COMPUTER IS BACK!!! I missed it soooo much. Many would say that its unhealthy, but if loving my mac is wrong, then i dont want to be right. I'm coming home this weekend, so give me a shout (new cell number (573)498-9099) and hopefully I'll have time to hang out. This weekend is rife with family stuff though, so friday night is probably your best bet. posted by Chris Hires at 2:14 PM |
