Huwhaaat!? Huwhaaat!? Huwhaaaat!? Okaaaaaaaaeeey!


Let me tell you an amusing story involving me, and the ENTIRE greek community, and how we all came to be in the same room together.

I will preface this by admitting that I know absolutely NOTHING about being in a fraternity, or sorority. Those greek letters might as well be in russian, because I have no clue about any of it. All I know is that sorority girls are usually blonde, and are really really hot. I also know that frat guys are much bigger than me, and they look like an Abercrombie store threw up on them.

that being said, we are in the midst of "greek week" on campus, although greek week has technically been happening for approximately 3 weeks now. Part of greek week is all the frats and sororities get together in Jesse Auditorium and do skits. I was assigned to shoot this for the maneater. The main word to describe this whole event is "overwhelming." First I was overwhelmed by the huge concentration of hot girls. It was awesome. Then, all these greek organizations started doing chants and things in between the skits. Apparently the different frats and sororities have aliances and enemies, like gangs. Certain ones just go together. So they start cheering for each other, and they have flashlights and all this shit. It is insane in there. So fucking loud. Then I start shooting and realize that it is going to be hard as fuck to get these people's names, since I've already declared that all greek people look the same to me. So I shoot photos for 10 minutes, and then spend the next HOUR chasing people down, stuttering when talking to girls, trying not to piss off huge football playing guys, and praying that I can find the 5 or 6 people I need in a sea of close to 1000 people. Only by a stroke of luck did I find the guy in one of the musical numbers who knew everyone's names.

more than anything I decided that as little that I knew about greek organizations, now after being only slightly enlightened to the subject that I'm even more confused about it. More than anything, I am confused about how to talk to hot sorority girls.
