Flight Of The Concords

This is a new show on HBO about two musicians from New Zeland. In real life, the two guys are singing comedians, which would normally cause most people to wince but this time it’s the real deal. Their show is seriously funny, as evidenced by this song from the first episode:

Set your tivos kids.

DJ Lobsterdust – Baby Arrow

Download Here

Yes, I know, it has to be the worst DJ name ever. However, Lobsterdust kind of cranks up the creative dial on this one, mashing up Marvin Gaye and Mary Wells’ “Whats the Matter With You, Baby?” with the Album Leaf’s “Broken Arrow.” It sounds amazing. He even added a little bit of “Sing” by the Carpenters in there, but it’s subtle, meant for the headphone listeners. Perfect for a solo cab ride home at 4am on a Saturday night.

Lessons In Virtual Tour Photography by Chris Bachelder

Lessons in Virtual Tour Photography

This electronic book (ebook, if you will) came out a couple years ago and I just randomly thought of it this morning while pretending to be working. Bachelder basically wrote a novel (I believe the story is autobiographical) in the form of an instruction manual. Thus, all of the statements in the book are in the form of commands. Weird at first, but fun after some adjustment. Have you ever read an ebook before? It’s tough to get used to it. When this came out I decided I hated reading it in PDF format, so I printed all two hundred and something pages out on the printer at The Maneater‘s office. My boss got really mad at me for doing that.
