2) It’s Columbia’s best selling record ever
3) It won a grip of Grammys, including Album of the Year. The title track won Record Of The Year, as well as Song Of The Year (the song writing award).

Coastlines by Windsurf

Sounds like the soundtrack to an educational film you watched in 7th grade science class, except good. Alternately: Sounds like the soundtrack to a John Hughes film that was never released.

Bon Iver – Woods

I love vocoders so much. Go stream “The Woods” on his myspace, the Blood Bank EP comes out in two weeks.

Various Artists – Originals Vol. 1

This is a very nice (and very limited, from what I understand) compilation from the label Claremont56, who specializes in nice mellow, new-agey disco, often referred to by DJs and nerds as Ballearic Disco. I wouldn’t necessarily call it dance music, but I would call it a great listen. Put this on your headphones while you commute to or from work, it’ll make you feel like you’re in a movie. The track I’ve linked below treated me quite well while I was on the way home from dinner tonight.

Faded Paper Figures – Polaroid Solution

Man, I’m such a sucker for this indietronic stuff. Shoe-gazey pop at it’s finest.
