Chris Recommends:
Kid Cudi – Man On The Moon

Really feeling Kid Cudi’s LP, lots of interesting production and big chords. The whole concept and narrative can be a bit overbearing at times, but I’m willing to look past it. Ratatat, who’ve long been a favorite group of mine, get two production credits on the album, and it’s nice to see them doing this on the official tip, rather than the bootleg remixes they’ve put out before. One of their tracks, “Pursuit Of Happiness,” which also features MGMT, is below.

Chris Recommends:
Forgotten New York

Some of my friends know I harbor a secret passion for the history of New York City. Most of the reading I do relates to things that go on/have gone on in this town. When I have friends come to visit, I usually talk their ears off with trivia about New York’s more notable features. I’m nowhere near the level, though, of the purveyors of Forgotten NY, who detail the city’s history so meticulously it sends me into fits of history nerd joy. This lengthy post on Bleeker Street alone is enough make me giddy. Think of all of the things that have happened!
